Blurry/Smudged looking text

Hi. So I upgraded to Windows 8.1 and the text since has been horrible. Everything looks pretty horrid. Text is smudged looking and not sharp at all. Icons don't seem to look right either. I have examples below of Spotifys logo and the text in tabs in chrome

I have clear type enabled, other than that I can't find a fix Thanks for any help

try control panel--display--change size of all items--move the slider to 100% or to a position that suits you.
