Question Bolting down CPU cooler

I recently bought a CPU cooler than uses an aftermarket bracket to keep it in place but it doesn't clip in secure enough. So, I got four bolts and four nuts and secured it down that way to the motherboard. Is this safe?

Should be fine, no reason why not. As long as its not shorting anything out and that you don't over tighten it
