Question Boot computer when he wants.

Hi guys, I currently have a slightly older PC, it's about 5 years old.

Including OCZ 700W power supply.

The problem: Sometimes, My computer does not boot, it turns on the fans, but not boot.

If I turn off the power, wait a while, WITH LUCK the machine turns on and runs all day.

Motherboard: ASUS P8Z77-V LE

Only one LED stays on when this problem occurs: SB_PWD, according to the manual is

(Standby Power LED
The motherboard comes with a standby power LED. The green LED lights up to indicate
that the system is ON, in sleep mode, or in soft-off mode. This is a reminder that you should
shut down the system and unplug the power cable before removing or plugging in any
motherboard component. The illustration below shows the location of the onboard LED.)


Problem occurs with or without memory,

with or without video card. i already test.

When this happens, Do you get any display at all when you start the PC? List your other system specs. Can you remove the gfx card and run on the iGPU?

no, when the system doesnt boot, i dont have any display, for example today it worked on the first try, with or without gfx , the problem occurs with onboard gfx aswell, its random sometimes it works sometimes it doesnt

Yeah, the PSU is the likely culprit. Maybe failing capacitor(s). I don't suppose you have another PSU you can rig up to it temporarily for awhile to run with for awhile?
