hi .i bought new laptop so i download every update and after i installed bios update PC not booting any more i have 1 TB HDD and 128 mb SSD i downgrade bios but only bios program changes and not ROM after research i found i can boot only on legacy support but not UEFI any more please help. I have lenovo L340 gaming 15.6

If you can boot on legacy, change it to legacy and don't update bios again.

Situations like those are why I don't like to update the bios unless there's a specific issue I'm trying to fix.
so you mean it`s not bad to boot on legacy?
i want to send it to repair it.
what do you think is it worth it to care about or not?
 
You can certainly ask about repairs. As I recall uefi was introduced a few years ago due to security when Windows 8 released.

That said, if someone gets into your system to the point they hack the bios, then they are pretty good and could have gotten in other ways I would suspect. In other words, I don't know that functionally, you will see a difference in day to day usage.
