Boot problem win 8.1

Solution
If Windows 8.1 was installed after Windows XP, and if you have deleted entire partition containing Windows XP, then BCD hive and Windows 8.1 loader files were deleted as well.

Normally they are installed to separate partition called System Reserved Partition, but in your case they could have been installed to Windows XP partition.

Now you can either:
1. Rebuild System Reserved Partition from scratch, as explained here: <link removed by moderator>
- or -
2. Do full reinstallation of Windows 8.1.
