Bootable USB does not work on my computer but works on others.

Built a new PC the other day and I am trying to install Windows 10 in an empty hard drive with a bootable USB. BIOS detected the flash drive but did not boot or load, whatsoever. It shows a blinking cursor/underscore.
So, I tried booting the USB on another computer and it was able to boot Windows 10 installer, flawlessly.
Did I do something wrong or is the flash drive incompatible to my PC?

what motherboard do you have? Do you have a choice to use the USB as a one off boot device? If so, does it have an option called UEFI USB as some motherboards differentiate between UEFI USB and just USB (the difference being how it boots)

Normally brand new Motherboards don't need any changes to boot off USB as they set up to do that

Asus P7H55-M/USB3. I do have the a choice to use the USB as a boot device however, it does not have a UEFI option.

Similar instructions for a board of same family

n Bios, it should give you the option for your USB specifically to boot from.

Try this:

In Bios, go to Advanced, USB Configuration, USB Mass Storage Device Configuration and set Emulation Type to Hard Disk.

Save and exit.

Enter Bios again, and go to Boot/Hard Disk Drives and see if USB Storage Device (it could display the name of the drive for example: Sony thumb drive)is now available in the list. Move it to the first boot slot. Save and exit.

Edit: you should probably have your CD/DVD drive as first, then your USB device after you confirm that the USB device boots up.

Still no sign of life. :/ Just a blinking cursor. I even booted it on a Mac and it worked flawlessly.
