Hi everyone.

Ok, I have two problems.

Bit of background first. I used bootcamp to install windows 8.1 Pro on a 2011 iMac (21.5")
I also have a Benq Monitor that is 1920x1080 and is 27".

The Benq monitor has black bars of about an inch all around the display.
How do I get rid of the black bars, they were not there when using my PS4 or OS X El Capitan.
FYI, I have AMD Catalyst Control Center

My second problem is that I cannot get any sound from my iMac speakers, what do I do?

If you can help, please respond.

:)

Welcome to the disaster that is Apple drivers.

The "black bars" can be one of three things:
1) Your wallpaper just isn't stretching
2) Your resolution is set to lower than the display resolution
3) Apple really screwed up and the monitor is being rendered as a TV.

The first one isn't an issue, just change wallpaper settings. Second one just needs you to right click on the desktop and change the screen resolution to the proper one.

If you are connecting the external monitor via HDMI/displayport, there's a chance that that is set as the audio output. Just right click on the volume icon and select playback devices. After that set your internal speakers as the default.
