I have an old rig setup
asrock g41m-vs3
Intel core2quad q9400
Memory 2x2gb 1333mhz and 1600mhz
Gtx 285

my problem is. When i manually setup the memory at the bios to 1333mhz (which is OC mode in this old board)
Its gonna bootlooping at cold start, (yeah only cold start)
But sometimes its succesfully post, maybe 1 out of 4 i can say.
I’ve already set the board jumper pin to 2-3 which according to the manufacturer site its setup for 1333mhz memory.
Already updated the bios to.
And this happens even without that 1600mhz one.
If i set it to auto or 1066mhz its gonna post like every single time i turn it on.

Maybe this kind of some hardware fault?

during cold boot, ram gets initialised, well alot of things happens
since you know thats from 1333mhz ram clock, then you can try fiddle with VTT and PLL voltages.
VTT was later renamed to VCCSA so depends on your bios version/date you should see either vtt or vccsa
raise them in little increments

Its indeed called VTT
There is also NB volt and GTLref volt.
TBH iam not so familiar with this OC things. Did i only need play with VTT?

i do fix it but i dont know if this is the actual fix
The last things i did change is to put the jumper pin on the EUP LAN and EUP AUDIO in to DISABLE
Right now its always post at 1333mhz
