Borderlands 2 ALL BLACK

Hi all, I was hoping anyone could help me, i recently installed Borderlands 2 and during installation i had a problem which didn't result in much but frustration. The textures file textures.tfc didn't install and as a result the game is light until I load the game, then the game itself is quite dark especially walking up to anything,from far it is light.

My specs:
Intel Core 2 Duo E7500 2.9GHZ
Sapphire 9600GT
2GB RAM
Win7 32 Bit
MSI G31TM P35

If you installed it on the steam platform and files are missing i'd recommend to verifiy your game files.

Go to borderlands 2 in your game library, press right click --> Properties --> local files --> verify game cache

Problem is when I installed it a window popped up saying that the textures.tfc had an error while trying to copy because the source file is corrupted, i could skip the file however and the game ran perfectly besides the darkness all the time. I can barely see anything at all,only my weapon

Uninstall and install agian if its a non steam copy... better yet, register it with steam and install it from there to get all the patches as well.

The good news is that if you get it from steam there is a file validation tool that allows you to test if everything is well installed (and if fixes it automatically if its not).
So thats your best bet at fixing the problem.

even if i did not acquire the game through steam? like lets say torrent
