Hello Everyone!

I wanted to ask a quick question. I got a new desk and wanted to hide everything as neatly as possible; thus, I placed my PC inside my desk cabinet right next to my Bose Acoustimass Module. Now I am worried about two things, the vibrations damaging the Hard Drives, and/ or any magnets causing interference. For reference, the Bose module is basically touching the computer case.

The HD's (Western Digital Blacks, 1 TB) are mounted on top of the case but are only about 4" away from module. Additionally, I have a Samsung 850 SSD mounted on the bottom of the case, literally 2" away from the Bose module.

Now, upon my research I've read everything from 'the small 300 watt module wont cause any worries', to people saying my 'Hard Drives wont last more than a few months' to some assumptions that the module comes with some magnetic shielding and I am simply being paranoid.

I completely forgot to ask you guys — what are your guys' take? I've had the setup like this for roughly a week and everything seems to be in order. Should I be worried or concerned?

Eh it depends on how much Bass comes from those guys.

As far as the magnets don't even worry about that. you need a SUPER magnet to wipe those drives from a few inches away. Gotta remember there are already two VERY powerful magnets in the hard drive it self that control the arms.

Thanks for the reply, it gives me a little more confidence. The bass from the unit is substantial, the case does vibrate to the touch, under heavy operation the case feels like a smartphone vibrating. I was thinking to perhaps surround the mounting edges with a mouse pad or something similar to help absorb some vibration.
