Hey, will an i5-8500 (which is a bit more powerful than an i5 8400) bottleneck a Vega 64?
Will it bottleneck the Vega 64 in 1080p? (max settings).

And what about 1440p?

Yeah, no problem! That i5 shouldn't bottleneck that card.

Should work together well at 1080p. 1440p your gpu will definitely be your bottleneck.

How the hell would a Vega 64 be a botlleneck at 1440p? The Vega 64 has more than enough power to run games at 1440p. I'm not sure what you're trying to say. Please elaborate. Thanks.

Vega 64 is about equivalent to the 1080 which will not get over 100fps on aaa titles at high settings with 1440p, which of course ppl will want at least 120hz so it's important to be close to 100 and have freesync.

The higher resolution you go the more your gpu will likely to be the bottleneck.
