Hello guys,
I wanna buy a new 144hz monitor for my Pc, the problem is that i have a bottleneck on my pc, my cpu is i5 2500 3.3hz, my card is GTX980!
My question is: how much this problem will affect on the fps?

Disable vsync and see what you get for frame rates.

You probably won't be able to get much benefit out of 144Hz beyond slightly faster response time with your current CPU even if you turn graphics all the way down to mostly eliminate the GPU from the equation. Many games will already struggle to maintain 60Hz on a plain quad-core CPU.

Could be a lot. Unless you're playing games that are very light demand on CPU resources, you're unlikely to come anywhere near the 144fps mark so unless you're planning to get a G-sync or G-sync compatible Freesync monitor, that could definitely be a problem.
Thx for your reply, actually i play Pes20 most of time! Maybe this game doesn't require a lot resources from the cpu! Anyway, maybe if i upgrade my cpu in the future i will be benefited from the 144hz.. does pes20 demand a lot resources from the cpu?

No idea. Never played it. Looking at the recommended system requirements it shows a 3770k as the minimum recommended, but the minimum actual shows only an FX-4350 so it can't be TOO terribly demanding. Of course, the bare minimum is probably assuming something like 30fps too.

Recommended is generally for 60fps and goes up from there.

You're probably looking at around 55fps, but honestly I have no clue about that game specifically. Of course it will also depend on your resolution and settings as well, as to what you can actually achieve but I doubt you'll be GPU limited on that game so likely the 2500k is going to be your limiting factor.
