I currently have an A4 860k on a MSI A88x MOBO with two XFX r9 380s in crossfire, 3d Mark and the "can I run it" benchmarks indicate that my CPU is REALLY affecting my setup. I cannot find a better CPU that fits the FM2+ socket. I am somewhat a novice, but is there one out there that will improve this set up?

Furthermore, it seems like my crossfire breaks some games. Crysis is clipping way bad. Is this due to the processor?

You are at the top of the food chain for the FM2+ platform with the Athlon X4 860K. Even a single R9-380 would tax the CPU. And if your board is the A88X-G43, the 2nd PCIe x16 slot is only x4 lanes. A performance drag. The A88X-Gaming however has the better x16, x8 lane configuration.

That's kinda what I figured, the MOBO I have is the A88X G-45 Gaming. I thought I heard there was a FX-8350 (maybe?) that fits FM2+.

I honestly just upgraded from a Gigabyte A68H MOBO with 1 PCI. Not really looking to go again until Zen/AM4 hits the market
