Bottlenect the GTX 295?

1. yes, you will be bottlenecked..I have q6600 at 3.6 Ghz (24/7 use, rock stable) with GTX 295 and there is some bottleneck but it very much depends on game. When I compared it to Core i7 920 so in Crysis it`s negligible (maybe 1 fps) in World in Conflict it`s over 20% but fps are still high (like 50+)..generally something about 10%.

2. I recommend to wait for ATI 5XXX to see performance/price ratio. ATI 5870 will be probably new king of GPU market with DX 11 feature but I doubt that it will beat GTX 295 in pure performance. It could be close - equal to 4870x2. ATI 5870x2 will definitely take fastest GPU crown back...but the price for that is other story. So or so new ATI series will be damn fast but it will shown all beauty only paired with fast CPU.

Outcome: buy new, faster CPU because it doesn`t matter if you grab GTX 295 or new ATI 58XX there will be still bottleneck with your current CPU

Upgrade your CPU for around 100.00$ and then decide on the GPU......

Hey, I posted before, but I'm not sure you reads the article, its really interesting...It shows that you can basically use any quad CPU and not be bottlenecked, regardless whether it is Intel or AMD....
heres the link again, ii rly suggest you have a quick read through it

For the GTX295:
Make sure you have a good power supply. You need a minimum of a highly efficient 650watt PSU to run the GTX295, and preferably a 750watt.

However, it is overpriced. Especially compared to the 4870x2 (much cheaper).

Also, get the 5870 instead, it is about the same as the GTX295 in performance but is a single card and ATI's flagship hardware for dx11. It will also be cheaper.

I love your colgate smile 😉
