hello guys, so i'm trying to get to the bottom of this, I've bought this monitor https://www.komplett.no/product/774683/gaming/skjerm-tilbehoer/skjermer/asus-24-led-vg248qe and as i try to change the refresh rate, windows shows only 60 hz at best, i am using the dvi dual link cable, my processor is intel core i7-4770 cpu @ 3,40 GHz 8 gb RAM 64-bit

i'll happilly provide this thread with any updates, please help.

update: i have the AMD Radeon R7 240, i think you call it display adapter

First make sure that you have updated the graphics card directly from Nvidia or AMD (not Windows). Down load and install the driver from there website.

In Windows Display, make sure that the 144Hz monitor is the primary monitor. If you select a 60 Hz monitor as the primary monitor, that refresh rate will be duplicated (and you will not have the 144Hz option).
