Question Bought new ram, pc won’t post

So I recently bought 16gb of Corsair vengeance rgb pro 3000 mghz ram to make my Pc prettier, but when I installed it, my pc would no longer post. So I took the new ram out, and went back to the old ram, but the pc still wouldn’t post. I have a x99a raider motherboard with an i7 6800k cpu.
Any suggestions to what can be the problem?

Did you reset CMOS in between changes ?
