The Quadro FX series is ment for intense simulations of physics and such right? It is not ment for video games in the slightest, correct?

Guys this is a wonderful workstation, I hope these are Tesla (Fermi Version) Cards. This coupled with the CUDA MATLAB plugin, Mathematica or Schrodinger 's molecular modeling platform....can be a nice tool for research.

Now all i got to go is get one with the building block program for software and hardware rendering so my gaming/home pc can just put everything where it needs to be with its hardware.

Are we saying fastest single-CPU based solely on actual CPU performance or are we taking GPU computing into account? If the latter, then I would say that the claim is a little...inflated if not unjustified.

Coming from someone that uses a BOXX workstation, assuming you spec one to match the Mac Pro, they are the same price.

This one is a single socket machine, and its overclocked.

To those wondering about the hard drives, there are 6 trays in a arrayed fashion behind the mainboard. Thats where they sit. Out of the way, and no overheating. At least on mine they dont, and I have 3 drives.

you should take a look at this workstation : Dual Xeon 12 cores 24 threads at 4.5ghz, http://www.compucold.com they have a 23.25 score on cinebench 11.5R.
