ok so i just built a pc. all brand new components. i can boot to get to the bios but dont know what im doing there. i dont make any changes and nothing happens, i make every change that the manual says and nothing happens. if i dont go to the bios i get a message " reboot and select proper boot device or insert boot media in selected boot device and press a key" i have inserted the installation disk while running the pc and reset it and still nothing.
i have also checked connections of RAM and PSU etc.
on occasion i wont be able to get into the bios or use the keyboard or mouse.
I have an msi 1070a gaming ack m9 MB
a corsair cx750m psu
evga gtx1070 graphics card
any other specs you might need and you can ask

please help as i am getting very frustrated!
thanks in advance.

Try opening it up and ensuring that the hard drive is connected to the motherboard correctly. Also, try booting with a different drive. Try removing all but one of the RAM sticks but one and then booting, if that doesn't work, try a different RAM stick in a different slot.

I only have one stick of ram and i did try it in different slots but il check the hard drive and i dont understand why booting with a different drive would help as there is literally nothing on the pc

Ok so iv connected the hard drive
Iv booted from it
Booted from cd dvd
Iv got this thing called uefi that i dont understand.
Is it possibly the disk is broken?
