[SOLVED] Brand New Samsung NVME SSD Shows over 400GB Written - Samsung Magician Software.

I just got the Samsung 970 EVO Plus 1TB a few hours ago, and I just noticed the Samsung Magician Software says it has already written 439 GB to the SSD. Obviously this is impossible and I am confused as to why this all of a sudden shows. Id apreciate if someone can explain what is happening and if it is a bug in the software or a problem on my end. Thanks.

What have you done with it since installation?

The drives are tested. My Samsung NVMe and my Samsung SATA SSD showed around 400GB written when I installed them.

It's normal unless you saw 100TB written.

And that could easily be "400GB".

400GB is 0.07% of the warranty lifespan (600TB) of that 1TB drive.
It is fine.

Downloading is probably 113Gb, since its compressed for the very reason of making it a quicker download, meaning installation is going to be a lot higher
