Hello, I have just installed a brand new SSD in my pc (PNY CS-900 480GB) along with new ram (Corsair Vengeance RGB 3000MHz 16GB DDR4) to replace my lower end hardware such as my WD HDD and 8gb ram. Along with the upgrade I cloned my OS onto the SSD using the included Acronis cloning software also completely resetting the pc after the cloning was finished, I noticed immediately faster boot times loading times etc.. but then unfortunately I noticed that my PC was stuttering in games and general use. I proceeded to update drivers the OS etc in attempt to get rid of this dang problem but to no success.
A more in depth explanation of the problem is things such as when I move a window around the desktop sometimes it will lag and I will watch the task manager report that the SSD average response time goes into the 100s+ of miliiseconds for a short time and in some cases the 1000's, on a benchmark I seen 32,000+. Another extremely frustrating instance is while I am trying to play a game it stutters consistently every few seconds it's dropping frames, if it doesn't drop frames the sound cuts out a little. Also if its any help I checked the resource monitor [Disk] and noticed there is more the one app listed that has a response time of 2-400+.
Gaming is the primary focus of my PC, before the upgrades and Clone/reset these consistent stuttering/lag problems where not present. I am not 100% certain that the new SSD is at fault but it at least doesn't look like it's helping.
