When it comes to video cards, i've heard my fair share of controversy on which brand and type is better. alotta people love nVidia and burn ATI but there there are the reverse. similaryly. There is Asus, Gigabyte... which brand and type is actually the best money to performace? using the gtx 295 and the 4870x2 as standards.

when your selecting a card from ethoir, people buy tehm due to A warrenty how long it is and stuff.

the bundle
pricing
or cos its a overclocked version, in spahhitre case they will bang another cooler on it rather than stock making the card frightingly fast

but most of the time there is just no differences between each brands stock ref card.

they do in ATIs case

if you like asus cards more due to expirances than fine, in my eyes thats not a problem I always buy asus mobos, its the same thing really, but for ATI cards I always find myself buying sapphire, again no idea why. for Nvida I may find myself buying asus cards, as say like like GTX285 at OCUK its only £220 all the rest are alot more than that

that is so true. however i'm in australia. the govemant enjoys charging HUGE amounts of TAX for graphics cards and other computer goods. *sigh* sometimes i wish i lived in a country where pc parts come cheep. anyway, thankyou for your help. i think i'll go with the asus gtx 295

Might be worth popping into 'Aussie Corner' to see if someone can point you in the direction of a good deal.
