Bridged wireless connection

I am running a bridged connection from my house down underneath it under my driveway and into my barn. I put DD-WRT onto my secondary (router) and it works when it is in the house in all ports of my main router and it does not work when it is in the barn... why? I tested the connection with a laptop in the barn and it was working. why does my secondary wireless not allow it?

What models are your main router and access point? You are not running a bridge if you have a cable connection -- you have a wireless access point.

In the AP router, did you turn off DHCP, give it a static address that is outside the DHCP range of the main router, and set that IP address in the static address table of the main router (you will need the AP MAC address to do that)? Also is the cable connected LAN to LAN port or are you setting up a separate subnet (which has different instructions).

Main router is a Westell 327w and the AP is a D Link 615. DHCP is off. Main router DHCP range is .15-.47 i believe and AP is .2 yes it is going LAN to LAN

Is the D Link .2 address entered in the Westell static device table (you will need the D Link MAC address to do that)?

Also, just to be sure -- DHCP is off on the D Link? And you have it set as an AP?

Have you run a cable tester on the line out to the barn to insure that all the necessary wires are correctly connected?

And you have set up the wireless on the D Link? Can you detect the wireless signal out there if you use the free home version of inSSIDer from HERE?

So for the static IP how exactly do i do that? the only thing in my main router says "Single Static IP Config." then there is the devices connected list and a button on the bottom that says "enable"

I don't know that router well, but most have a page called something like LAN and allow you to allocate static addresses -- it appears to be in your manual around page 87, you can get a copy of it HERE. They seem to call it static host assignment.
