Question Screen has a brighter glow at the edges ?

I first notice this when I was playing modded skyrim and watching movies, the most obvious one is the bottom of the screen probably because of the view point position in facing it.
for example, I play skyrim and ints night time, I can totally see the bottom of the screen only is way too bright
or if watching a movie, the bottom of screen is brighter

i tried viewing the screen in total black and notice its all the edges of the screen but the only obvious one is the bottom part.
what is causing this? Software? Monitor? Graphics card?

anyway to fix this?

this is called backlight bleeding, typical for edge backglights
see your monitor settings if it has local dimming, that would reduce brightness on dark content, hiding that bleed which is noticeable just on dark screen with high brigtness

i think there is no option to dim specific area, so only choice now is to sell it and buy a new one right?
any recommended 1080p gaming monitor?

What screen do you have now? Certain technologies can be worse than others, but generally edge lit displays are all going to have this issue to some extent. The alternative is generally spending more money.
