I have little motherboard knowledge...
I bought a Asus x99 Deluxe board of Ebay and it does not work. I am wondering if anyone may know how to fix it?

With all the components connected to the motherboard, the components power on for a split second then turn off.

When I remove the 8 pin power connector the components all power on.

All the components work fine on another board.

The board has also fried my cpu 🙁

There appears to be a slight bit of damage on the board which is circled in the below picture

you're not going to be able to fix the cpu. i would try to contact the seller and get a refund. as for fixing the motherboard...not really practical especially for someone with little motherboard knowledge. was the board used?

I have purchased a new cpu. Yes the motherboard was used.

well if anything i would defniintely not put that new CPU in that motherboard. repairing motherboards is a very gray area that not many people are willing to deal with.

yes I tested the power supply with a different system.

where does the post code (That debug LED thing with 2 digits/letters) get stuck?
