Broken case of SDHC memory card

Hello,

I have a Verbatim SDHC Class 6 card of 4 GB and its case has broken. I tried to put it in my DSLR camera and it is not recognized anymore. I took the card itself out of its case and it seems to be intact. The case, however, is broken in multiple places, especially along the edges.

Is there any way I can connect the bare SD card to the computer, at least, and recover anything from it?

you could try using a usb to sdcard adapter.

You can try the adapter. My old pc has all the adapter built in, and I have connected many a broken things to it. A usb without a case, just the plastic inner part, a micro sd card, literally broken like that etc. If you can get the chip in there, so the contacts touch, it will transfer.
