Question Brother HL-2240 suddenly starts throwing errors on the PC-side.

Hi there, back again.

Gigabyte GA-F2A78M-D3H motherboard w. 32gb ram
AMD A6-6400K APU with Radeon
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Super
Win 10

So yesterday; my trusty Brother HL-2240 was printing just fine. Today, it's throwing nondescript errors on my PC. I'd love to show you, but...I tried to fix it myself and now it's not showing as even being installed.

Troubleshoot cleared the print queue, but solved nothing. It just said: "Error, cannot print"

Printer has ink, paper and shows no errors on the printer-side.

On/Off did nothing.

Tried to update drivers, nothing.

Uninstalled and reinstalled. Now it's refusing to recognize the printer at all. Shows "Not Connected" (it is connected).

I tried to add a new printer and it doesn't show up and cannot be found on the network.

This thing has been rock-solid for over 8 years. Zero issues until now.

What am I missing?

Have you uninstalled the drivers, leave it connected then reboot system?

Also, if no good, boot to desktop, uninstall driver then hot plug the usb to the port to see if windows detects it ??
