Windows 10 Pro Version 21H1 (OS Build 19043.1706)

Apologies if this is addressed/answered elsewhere.

I've recently been having problems accessing some websites which I've had no problems with previously.

Yesterday I couldn't connect to 'makeuseof.com'. It said "This site can't be reached'. Today it works fine. The same happens with 'logmeonce.com'. I've tried 7 browsers and cannot connect on any of them. I've never managed to get to the website.

If I send those 2 aforementioned websites to a friend in Messenger, a small image of the website is displayed which means it can get to them, but when I click them, Edge opens and cannot display the website - the same error message as before.

Things I've tried :-

  1. Turned off Firewall and shields on Avast One (free)
  2. Flushed the DNS cache (and browser cache)
  3. The sites access thru a samrtphone connected to the same wifi work fine.

Any help would be gratefully received.

SOLVED.

I have a program called 'Adguard'. I terminated it and it went to the website. Strange how it didn't open the website first then allow me to disable it from there.
