BSOD and no video output when pc boots

Today while playing borderlands 2 on the pc ive had for about 2 weeks,i got a random bsod,after which i restarted my pc,only to find that when i try turning it back on again,the fans spin,lights come on but nothing comes onto the screen,it just stays black.Please help me i have no idea what to do and im worried about my pc,im also runnign windows 8 64 bit if that helps.

Have you overclocked it? If so, I'd go into your mobo and reset the CMOS settings via a jumper (or whatever your mobo has) and see if it will boot that way.

nope havent overclocked it but should i still try this step or is it irrelevant?

Couldn't hurt, and after that I'd call your mobo manufacturer and try to get support through them.
