I have second-hand PC and it randomly BSODs but only at first boot. After that it works normally, even when high load. When the PC is off for quite long, the story repeat. I already do reinstall driver, restore the system, reinstall windows, checking disk and ram from software. You can say I've done everything from software side, but it's still there. Strangely, BSOD's description keep changing. From System_Service_Exception, Page_Fault_In_Non_Paged_Area, Unexpected_Kernel_Mode_Trap, Interrupt Exception not handled, Iorate.Sys error, Memory Management error, Kmode Exception not handled. It might be not so annoying like in every minute or hour, the BSOD occur but it should be fixed. Every opinion will be very appreciated.

My PC specs :

CPU: AMD Ryzen 3 2200G
GPU: Asus Phoenix 1650 4GB
RAM: 8GB (I forgot the brand. it's an old one I guess).
PSU: Armageddon Voltron 475X 950W
Mobo: Gigabyte a320m DS2
SSD: Gigabyte 120GB
HDD: Seagate 1TB

Solution
Turn off fast startup to avoid the bsod at first boot - https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/4189-turn-off-fast-startup-windows-10-a.html

although its really just a work around, actual cause likely an old driver that doesn't play nice with win 10 power modes

Can you follow option one on the following link - here - and then do this step below: Small memory dumps - Have Windows Create a Small Memory Dump (Minidump) on BSOD - that creates a file in c windows/minidump after the next BSOD

  1. Open Windows File Explore
  2. Navigate to C:\Windows\Minidump
  3. Copy the mini-dump files out onto your Desktop
  4. Do not use Winzip, use the built in facility in Windows
  5. Select those files on your Desktop, right click them and...

alright, here bit.ly/36r0KXN
actually the report was different with each BSOD, but yeah this is the latest one.

i don't know that name
According to Linus' tier list, it even go to the potentially dangerous. So, this is definitely gonna be replaced sooner or later.

Thank you so much. I'll wait here patiently and not using my pc to the fullest at least for now. lol
I've been wondering if the user before me can stand using it the whole time.

i doubt it can come even close to 950watts and tbh I wouldn't want to test it.

You probably don't even need half of a 950, but whatever it is should come from Corsair, EVGA or Seasonic (although the last could too be overkill), as it will supply what it says on box without killing parts in process.

They don't have the 950w on here - https://www.armaggeddon.com.my/power-supply
top price there is approx 95 AUD for a 850watt plat... whether it is actually platinum is a question
3 year warranty on a Platinum

if they only trust PSU to last 3 years, I wouldn't buy it.

My Seasonic Focus Plus Platinum 750watt PSU costs $228,and has a 10 year warranty. So a believable price is higher than what they charge. You don't need platinum but it makes you wonder about quality of everything else down line.

Alright, I'm getting scared now to even turn my PC on.
Corsair, EVGA and Seasonic too overbudget for me.
Since my setup is kinda mid to low, what about Cooler Master GX 650w 80+ bronze or FSP HV pro 550w 80+?
Or do you guys have any recommendation?

I didn't mean to frighten you that much

i don't know that many PSU brands, I am not sure about either of those. I assume dragor might have an idea.

My friend who has to check dumps is likely asleep still. They might show cause and its not PSU.

Still help to replace it though.

Pick up anything available to you within budget from Tier C or higher.
FSP HV pro is listed on Tier C so should be fine. 550 W is enough.

Okay, at least I won't using it for a while since I got new PSU. I got the feeling that ram is the culprit but I'm not so sure. I've done repair from software and everything's good.
Got it, FSP is all the way then.

Hi, I ran the dump file through the debugger and got the following information: https://jsfiddle.net/v2Lb83ko/show This link is for anyone wanting to help. You do not have to view it. It is safe to "run the fiddle" as the page asks.

File information:071121-28453-01.dmp (Jul 11 2021 - 07:09:14)
Bugcheck:PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA (50)
Probably caused by:win32kfull.sys (Process: chrome.exe)
Uptime:0 Day(s), 0 Hour(s), 08 Min(s), and 59 Sec(s)

Possible Motherboard page: https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/GA-A320M-DS2-rev-10#kf
You have the latest BIOS already installed.

this seems a little out of date
Sep 09 2005ssgdio64.sysATI Diagnostics Hardware Abstraction System driver
not sure what its part of. Yes, I know you have an AMD motherboard, so do I... but its an old file that seems out of place. I have seen it before but never worked out what it is. Hardware Abstraction Layer makes me think its motherboard related.

I would remove this

and update these

Do you use WIFI or Ethernet?

What USB WIFI card is it? I have seen those causing errors a lot this year.

Download Win10 Auto Installation Program (SId:1152921505693600553) from here for Ethernet - https://www.realtek.com/en/componen...0-1000m-gigabit-ethernet-pci-express-software

I'm using wifi with TP-Link adapter. I'm already change my PSU and the problem still occur. Btw, here's the latest info https://bit.ly/3B1xTaB

Also about uninstall and updating things, I've done it too. It's just I don't know if it's still there. Prolly, tomorrow I can say if it's still BSOD or not.

The problem still there, but it slightly less frequent. 2 times booting, but only 1 BSOD appear, instead of BSOD every fresh boot after long off. My mobo might be the culprit (or not?) I don't even know anything at this point

What PSU did you get?

which TP Link adapter? it uses a realtek chip, I just see if I can find a newer driver as that last error could be network related.
Both your network drivers are 2 years old.

try updating chipset drivers - https://www.amd.com/en/support/chipsets/amd-socket-am4/a320

if its still restarting with no bsod then its probable we need to test more hardware

CPU: AMD Ryzen 3 2200G
GPU: Asus Phoenix 1650 4GB
RAM: 8GB (I forgot the brand. it's an old one I guess).
PSU:
Mobo: Gigabyte a320m DS2
SSD: Gigabyte 120GB
HDD: Seagate 1TB

what model Gigabyte ssd?

ram - M378A1K43BB2G3A141 - I can only find 4 results for this ram, on Google. And none tell me what it is. I know its Micron 2400
Might be Killsre ram who I hadn't heard of until now. Chinese brand.

problem could be ram since errors are all over the place. It might pass memtest and still have timings that don't work well with PC. I don't know as I can't find enough on ram.
you could run CPU -Z and look on memory tab to see what speed it is running at. Curious

I have FSP HV Pro 550w here, just like my post earlier.

I uninstalled it earlier and reinstall. Well, fingers crossed this time I'll stay away from it for a while.

It's a SATA one. https://www.gigabyte.com/Solid-State-Drive/GIGABYTE-SSD-120GB#kf

It says kingston, but I don't know exactly. CPU-Z says this

The problem with your problem (pun intended) is that there are no good clues pointing towards any specific part. There were clues for PSU (plus it was just junk) but the change didn't really help, leaving us in the dark. Normally, with BSODs being different every time you suspect bad RAM or corrupted drive. However, BSODs caused by RAM and drive tend to be happening completely at random times, while yours are rather 'ordered' (they follow some kind of pattern). This does not help at all. Still I think you should test your RAM with memtest and check health of your drives.

Will try another Ram. BSOD is not often for now. Just 1 BSOD per 3 boots. I've searching for the same case like mine and found nothing. Hardware must be the problem.

I would run the ssd toolbox and see if its got diagnostics - https://www.gigabyte.com/Solid-State-Drive/GIGABYTE-SSD-120GB/support#support-dl-utility

i deal with that every week. Most errors aren't obvious. If they were we wouldn't be here trying to figure it out. Life would be easy
