about a month ago i started to get bsod's while gaming, and only while gaming, i was then informed on a different website that my power supply could not support my video card so i went out and bought a new one. it is 800 wats and can support it just fine. So i just got my computer up and running and wanted to test it. So i downloaded one of battlefield's play for free games and started playing and about after five mins the computer shut down and restarted. No blue screen. When i arrived at the desk top it gave me a little pop up that said this

It doesn't power on at all? If not use the paper clip trick to test the power supply (Google it)... if it does get power then unplug from the card and use the boards on-board video. If still nothing then I'd say it's a bad board... at worse - a bad cpu (unlikely).

Purpose of the switch is to see if the gpu is bad.

When i normally turn on the computer the fans will start up and eventualy slow down because they are not needed. But i notice now with the problem the fans start up, nothing happens, but the fans are still running at top speed and keep at that pace until i turn the computer off. even the psu fan is running that fast

You should contact HP support and tell them your board is dead.

...or go onto their site under support and put in the model of your machine and find the beep codes as well as the guide.

If i do contact Hp and tell them, what do you think they will most likely do for me?
