So after i upgraded to win 10 im facing bsod error every now and then..using internet or while gaming..anytime..i didnt had this error in windows 7 ..now i upgraded cause my games used to crash in windows 7 and i thought it was a direct x issue..but after i upgraded to 10 it became worse..now not only my games crash but the say bye bye with a bsod..so should i go back to win 7..

note: i think its a win 10 error cause my motherboard h61m s2p b3 is dx10.1 compatable and it probably does not support win 10..the gigabyte page says it supports upto win 7..i updated bios and all..my gpu is rx 460..which is also no probably compatable but the gpu didnt cause any problem in win 7..it would be very kind of u all if u could advice me what to do for stopping bsod, about the os,and how to stop my games from crashing ...(usually only the tripple A or big budget titles crash..other games dont ..in windows 7 and 10)

Hi There,

I think your system should be compatible. Also rx 460 is compatible with win10 and there is separate drivers for win7 and win 10 for rx 460.Try installing latest win10 drivers for rx 460 and check again. Also Can you tell me if the system is upgraded(win 7-->win10 via windows update) or clean installed to win10??.If not clean install then you need to install fresh win10 and you should download the latest drivers for your hardware

thanks for the reply..so what about the bsod? i checked the temperatures..cpu stays at 80 or 85degree celcisus under pressure and gpu remains at 40..

i didnt do a clean install really..a clean install means that will remove all your data from ur pc right? so since i was too lazy to backup i just did a normal install that will just wipe the c drive...so that maybe the reason for bsod?

A clean install means you are erasing the drive that contains windows i.e Normally c drive and installing windows again .A update means win7 is upgraded to win10 via windows update.

yes i did a clean install then..so my motherboard supports both win 10 and my gpu rit? and i dont think its hardware issue otherwise cause my rams are okay..cpu temperature under pressure is 70 to 85 mainly at 75 degree celcius and gpu goes at highest 45 degree celcius..so id really appriciate if u could advice me what to do or what is causing the bsod and games crashing

so i just saw that while playing games my temperature goes to 80 or 98 ...so thats the reason for bsod and game crash rit?if it is then what should i do ?

The Temps are very high, bdw is it CPU or GPU temp??.If its GPU and if its under warranty then just replace it ,if its CPU then change thermal paste. If GPU is out of warranty then i suggest to open it carefully and change thermal paste inside .I guess high Temps are the reason for your BSOD Error

my gpu is at 50 at highest..the above temperature i spoke of is of cpu..atm i disabled a core and it dropped the temperatures to 70 while gaming and it may just reach 80 for a minute or 2 in max load...so should i buy another fan or just apply thermal paste?or do both?and is the current temperature (avg:65-73 max:75to 83) ok?bsods arent ouccuring and games arent crashing as well :)
