So my computer has been giving me off and on blue screens of death, It started a few days ago. It doesn't create any dump files. I've gotten several different error messages. Nothing consistent. When it first started, I was dead. I could only go into the BIOS setup. I basically took out the CPU, memory, video card and put them back. Replugged all the power connectors, etc... . CPU was not hot all at. And it made made an improvement, but I still occasionally get the BSOD. What happens is I'll be using the computer and then everything locks up and I get the BSOD and have to reboot. I've run chkdsk, reinstalled drivers. Tried everything. Any suggestions?

My hunch it's a hardware problem, but who knows what particular component is flaking out. I guess I could start with the MB, but what a pain. I don't have spare parts outside of a PSU that I can swap in to test with.

Solution
My first suspect is your RAM.
Test your RAM 1 Dimm at a time for 24hrs each.
If your motherboard has on-board video connect to and enable that to eliminate the video card as the issue.
Try re-installing windows to eliminate software issues as the cause.
My second suspect is actually... Your motherboard 🙁

Solution
The most usual problem is, as the user above has said, ram. Try troubleshooting it but if it doesn't work then I would try re-installing your hdd/ssd. The last thing I would suggest would be replacing your CMOS battery but the problem is very rarely with the CMOS.
