How do I fix this? I get a BSOD then do the scan as the article suggests (sfx/scannow) and it says that it has found corrupted files but cannot fix them. Then I follow the directory and find the above.

What do I do next? I can't seem to figure out how to actually fix the problem.

Solution
for the case of a corrupt download or bad spot on the disk:

google "how to clear softwaredistribution cache"

see if clearing the cache and getting a new download helps.

check for a failing drive: run crystaldisk.info and read the SMART error data

for bugs caused by the storage system, you would update the BIOS, the CPU chipset drivers and any SATA drivers from your motherboard vendors website.

if the first solution fixes the problem then you want to make sure you got to your motherboard vendors website and update the network (LAN) driver. (something corrupted the file)
