This helped one guy with a HP Pavilion of the same series as yours who had black screen same as you: http://www.tomshardware.com/faq/id-1904869/disable-ulps-amd-crossfire-setups.html

I updated my folks HP Pavilion dv7-6199us entertainment laptop from Windows 7 to 10, and upon boot-up between the Windows logo splash screen and the login screen, there is a 60-90 second period of time where the screen is blank. No mouse cursor, no logos or updating notice.
I noticed that the system has two video drivers, a Radeon one and an Intel HD driver. I'm wondering if it has to do with some type of conflict.

sound familiar??

your dual card is probably counted as a sort of crossfire.
don't be amazed if graphics become a problem again as your card is just on the cusp of not getting any driver updates so one day it may start again. just roll back drivers if it does, or buy a new laptop and avoid them.

I think mums pc gets that same black screen but I don't think hers uses 2 cards... i can't remember as i don't look at back of box often.

I'm already looking at another Pc to buy but i want to sell this for a small part of those money and i wanted to sell it working :) i dont wanna be that guy....

Definitely no Dual Graphics :)) , but most of what i found with single graphics are the Intel HD series...

I don't know anything about laptops, all my computers have been desktops. Much easier to upgrade them, much more variety in choice of graphics and so on. Sure, can't carry them around but I have a 4k screen, I don't want to move it around. Desktops can last longer as not many laptops let you upgrade internals after purchase, when my gtx 980 gets too slow I can just put in another card (no rush, it cost sooo much in December)
