Just started getting BSOD on shutdown. Reference by Number. Everything is stock. RAM is good, no over clocking.

STOP: 0x00000018

I have re-installed Win 7 Professional on brand new hard drive two times and still getting this. It has to be BIOS maybe? But can't figure out how to revert back to factory default BIOS.

Solution
No, not necessarily BIOS related. In fact, most BSOD are drivers related. Make sure all your firmware and drivers are up-to-date.

Also in most BSOD messages, there's often one or many files related to the crash, it could be a hint towards which driver is faulty.

But yeah, flashing the BIOS to latest version and reverting to factory default isn't a bad idea too. Usually the option is very easy to find in the BIOS and is clearly identified as "Reset to Factory Default" or something like that. You should find it easily, if not just check your motherboard manual. As a last resort, it could also be done with a jumper or by removing the battery on the motherboard, but once again just check your motherboard manual if you're unsure where...
