[SOLVED] [BSOD] Unexpected store exception

Hej everyone, being stuck with a random BSOD every now and then on a Lenovo Thinkpad x240. Absolute no pattern what so ever, if anything, it happened twice while on Youtube but that's it. I have ran memtest86 twice now, no errors. Ran full Lenovo diagnostic for everyting from motherboard to video - all good, even on stress test.

Before, there was additional issue with the laptop having faulty SSD but that was fixed after installing new one on the M2 slot, but same BSOD was there before too.

I got two minidumps:

Here's also my msinfo32 file:
https://easyupload.io/ucvwwq

If anyone has any idea what might be the cause of this, will be super greatfull. I have tried updating drivers and BIOS but nothing seems to work :(

Solution
keep showing us any new dumps, they may show us something.

if the same bsod existed before ssd was replaced, it is going to be something else.

this might help the Critical process died BSOD
right click start button
choose powershell (admin)
type SFC /scannow and press enter
once its completed, copy/paste this command into same window:
Repair-WindowsImage -Online -RestoreHealth
and press enter

SFC fixes system files, second command cleans image files, re run SFC if it failed to fix all files and restart PC

I used Speedfan for years to just monitor temps, I didn't use it for fans as much. It wasn't updated to recognise Ryzen motherboards, so I had to find other ways to do the same things.

Hi, I ran the dump files through the debugger and got the following information: https://jsfiddle.net/9z1dopcg/show This link is for anyone wanting to help. You do not have to view it. It is safe to "run the fiddle" as the page asks.

Updating Intel Management Engine Interface didn't do it. The M2 is Trancend :)

And yeah, SpeedFan was amazing, still works on older hardware but sad to hear it won't do on newer.

Dunno what happened but it seems Windows tried to update itself last night and now I can't even boot without spitting BSODs every time. I'm trying to reset the CMOS battery cause idk why tbh, but when I get to boot will post new dump and try the SFC

Update: that worked, was greeted by ''Windows updated itself to bring your brand new browser expirence"... I mean wow. Audio drivers are gone for god knows what reason, dumps were not saved as well (will recheck the config). Doing SFC now. This is getting weirder by the day.

right click start
choose run...
type winver and press enter
Are you on Version 1904? cause CBS log shows version number 18362 which is the release from 2019 May.

I assumed
''Windows updated itself to bring your brand new browser expirence"
meant you had updated to a new version but after looking at cbs log, I have my doubts.

If you on 1904, go here and click top link. Download the update assistant, run it and it will upgrade win 10 to 20H2 which is closer.
https://www.microsoft.com/en-au/software-download/windows10
in theory 21H1 is due this month but it has been known to be delayed before.

So only synaptic drivers on Lenovo site are from 2016
Two of them installed on PC are 2019, so I wonder where they came from.
Feb 25 2016smi.sysSSO SMI Kernel Mode driver (Synaptics Incorporate) http://www.synaptics.com/
is the driver that caused 2nd BSOD
Oct 27 2019Smb_driver_Intel.sysSynaptics SMBus driver http://www.synaptics.com/
Oct 27 2019SynTP.sysSynaptics TouchPad Driver http://www.synaptics.com/
are obviously newer.

I wonder what driver versions they are, dumps don't show that info
Can you download and run Driverview - http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/driverview.html
All it does is looks at drivers installed; it won't install any (this is intentional as 3rd party driver updaters often get it wrong)

When you run it, go into view tab and set it to hide all Microsoft drivers, will make list shorter.

Can you take a screenshot from (and including)Driver name to (and including)Creation date.
upload it to an image sharing website and show link here

might be newer Intel graphics drivers, try running this and see if it offers anything newer - https://www.intel.com.au/content/www/au/en/support/intel-driver-support-assistant.html
it should offer newer WIFI/Ethernet drivers as well.
