So this BSOD has been quite a pain for a while. A year ago, I did the first change to my rig, which is adding a 6TB HDD. Nothing else, I never overclocked or messed with anything related to the CPU or GPU, yet I get BSOD while playing certain games.
And I say certain games because they don't necessarily have to be demanding games. For example, I can run The Witcher 3 perfectly, not a single issue for the whole day. But if I launch CSGO and get into a competitive matchmaking session, chances is I'm going to get at least one BSOD. So far it has happened only with CSGO and GTA V Online. Every other game seems to run smoothly which I find strange.
I'm suffering from two types of BSOD while playing those two games:
CLOCK_WATCHDOG_TIMEOUT
and
WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR
The latter WHEA is by far the most common, appearing around 80% of the cases but both errors occur under the same circumstances, so I can't really tell the pattern for each one. And here's another clue: Whenever I have a BSOD while playing a game, usually I get another one after restart, when I login and windows starts opening all of the programs set to run by default (steam, discord, etc). And when I check, that's where my Processor is running at 100% so my first thought is that the source has to be the Processor, but I find it weird that it must be the reason behind it since I had this setup for years and this issue only started less than a year ago.
So far I've tried running System file checker (CMD) and DISM PC health repair (CMD) which found some broken files and apparently healed them, but BSOD keeps happening, as well as checking for BIOS Updates even though I'm apparently running the latest BIOS for my mobo (from 2016??).
I also ran Intel Processor Diagnostic Tool and I got the classic WHEA BSOD at the Math test stage. I will post both dump files, one from this test and the other one for while I was running GTA V
Everything to me points at the CPU but I heard it could also be the PSU or Mobo so if anyone can read the dump files and give me some sort of accurate diagnostic it would be nice. If it is possible to get this fixed without having to replace or buy new hardware that would be better.
