BSOD

shortly after installing Win7 Ultimate, my computer started crashdumping and lockingup with BSOD's, ran OCCT and all is well, Prime 95 runs and after an hour it stops the error is
FATAL ERROR Roundin was 0.5 expected less than 0.4
Hardware failure detected consult stress.txt file,
so I checked it and all it said was there is a problem somewhere, OK so I was looking in the Windows debug file and I see the WIA file, so I am looking and it says

so what I am thinking that the memory has a problem- anyone have an idea if I am headed in the right direction

well Prime95 is telling you that you have an error somewhere...
if you have any overclocked parts, reset them to defaults.
Run Memtest86+ to check the RAM specifically. And see if its the cause.

Is this a fresh install on a new machine?
or an upgrade?

Well, something in your system is unstable. It might be the CPU, it might be the memory (since OCCT passes, my guess is memory). Run memtest86+ to test the memory.

usually if a rig overheats, the BIOS will just shut it down completely.
That's what my toshiba used to do before i modded the case

this is a upgrade, machine is a year old, side off the case and running vanilla , even though I don't know the temps, I don't think it's the problem, cuz I can resart the app right away and it may run for a few hours before it happens again

i think its safe to say your memory is fine
is your system overclocked at all?
if it is undo that. reset your BIOS.

vanilla system, stock, will check Asus for bios updates M2N68
