So I built my own computer from scratch for the first time and it has been running flawlessly for weeks. That is, until I purchased a new HD LED monitor and Sapphire R9 290 card.

Now, I have gotten a BSOD both days I've had it installed. If I remember correctly, both times I have gotten it has been while viewing youtube videos at 1080p. The second time it was for sure, don't remember the first time but I think it was as well. I can run games on ultra/maximum just fine.

My build:

AMD A8-7600
Corsair 8GB (2x4) RAM
Corsair HX650 PSU
Sapphire R9 290
Windows 7 Ultimate 64-Bit

Gigabyes APU motherboards won't disable the on-board graphics until you do it manually, you will keep getting a BSOD or complete boot failure until you go into the bios and disable to on-board graphics. I had the same issue in my old HTPC when I switched my old 7970 to it when it had an APU.
Okay. I guess I'll see how the next 24-48 hours go.

Is it safe to say this is NOT a hardware issue and that I shouldn't be needing to RMA any of my stuff? I just don't want to get out of the warranty window.

Good news so far. No BSOD. Seems like I fixed it. Will still keep an eye on it.

I had an issue trying to play Borderlands 2 though:

I wonder if this is because I have AMD's drivers uninstalled and I'm running from Windows?

I've updated to Windows 10 as of last night. Still running perfectly if not even better.

I'll check back in a week to say solved if everything still stands!
