Hey guys. So a custom PC i bought around a year or two ago recently was updated to the creators update. This in itself didn't cause me any issues, but after a windows security update, all hell has broken loose regarding blue screens.

I've been working tirelessly to figure it out over the past day, and i really can't figure out what is going on. I have attempted reinstalling windows on my primary SSD, then swapped it out for a brand new unused SSD and installed windows there, was getting BSODs right off the brand new installation on both drives immediately. I've run memtest86 on both of my 8gb ram sticks, without any errors on either. I have also tried running windows with both of the sticks individually, getting BSODs with both, despite not having errors on memtest.

The BSOD stop codes range from ATTEMPTED_EXECUTE_OF_NOEXECUTE_MEMORY, KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED, SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED, PAGE_FAULT_IN_NON-PAGED_AREA, IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL, BAD_POOL_CALLER, and many, many more. There is absolutely nothing consistant about the behaviors of any of these, and i am rarely seeing the .sys files associated with them. fltmgr.sys was one which i did see pretty commonly, prior to the clean format/installs of windows. I'm not seeing that one anymore. kmode is probably the most common.

I will say I have not updated the BIOS on my motherboard. I have enabled minidumps for BSODs now, and will post any i get on google drive shortly.

My specs are as follows:
GTX 1080 8gb
Intel i7 6700k 4.00ghz
16gb ddr4 2666mhz ram
samsung 850 evo 250gb(primary drive)
seagate 2tb hybrid(secondary drive)
Gigabyte GA-Z170MX- Gaming 5
EVGA Supernova 650w 80+ gold

What should I do? I really need a working desktop in the next 2 days, I've already formatted my SSDs and attempted clean installs, and i'm ready to do anything to fix this.

Thanks.

Solution
Hi, I ran the dump files through the debugger and got the following information: https://pastebin.com/f0UR0iP3

File: 081017-11421-01.dmp (Fri Aug 11 00:49:54 2017)
BugCheck: [PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA (50)] {ffffa68e00000000, 2, fffff80008655b35, 2}
Probably caused by: memory_corruption (Process: explorer.exe)

I can't help you with...
That is strange, the only security updates you get are for Flash, so its odd they cause drivers to mess up. I just looked and apart from cumulative updates, there isn't anything else in my history

Can you follow option one here
and then do this step below: Small memory dumps - Have Windows Create a Small Memory Dump (Minidump) on BSOD

that creates a file in c windows/minidump
copy that file to documents
upload the copy from documents to a cloud server and share the link here

someone with right software to read them will decode the files and help us fix it :)

Solution
You might want to upgrade BIOS, If you are on F4B then the latest is actually F22a dated 30 June 2017

Update Killer internet drivers (your model is e2400) - http://www.killernetworking.com/driver-downloads
update realtek HD Audio drivers - https://www.tenforums.com/drivers-hardware/5993-latest-realtek-hd-audio-driver-version.html

wdcsam64.sys (Dated Fri Oct 9 2015) - Western Digital SCSI Architecture Model (SAM) WDM driver (this must be for the ssd?)

Bug Check 0x192: KERNEL_AUTO_BOOST_LOCK_ACQUISITION_WITH_RAISED_IRQL ... can't say I ever seen this error before (and neither has debugger)

seems it is either caused by Bluetooth or WiFI ... are you using Ethernet or Wifi? only drivers mentioned are Ethernet so its odd even getting this here?

wdcsam64.sys (Dated Fri Oct 9 2015) - Western Digital SCSI Architecture Model (SAM) WDM driver - I have since discovered this is the driver for external hdd

see if updating killer drivers fixes it. they are well known to cause BSOD.
