TLDR: getting random BSODs with various modules and error codes, also crashing and weird behavior of various apps.
Hi, my PC started experiencing BSODs several months ago, they keep happening 1-2 times a day, sometimes more often, sometimes less, at random times, not necessarily when it’s loaded, often when completely idle. First I suspected GPU (since some games crashed with visual artifacts), so I replaced it with brand new one, but that didn’t help. Then I noticed that many apps started throwing random undocumented errors and/or crashing, for example, Firefox tabs keep randomly crashing (even with no add-ins enabled).
This strongly suggested that I have a bad RAM stick, even though Memtest86 didn’t show anything. Nevertheless, I replaced all 4 RAM sticks with brand new ones, yet the issue still remains. I also ran SSD and hard drive tests, but those didn’t show up anything. I even reinstalled Windows (clean reinstall), but to no avail. Most BSODs refer to ntoskrnl.exe, sometimes Ntfs.sys, sometimes others. Here are several dumps from these BSODs: https://ufile.io/f/j6snh
I am not sure what to suspect, temps are fine, BSODs happen at random, even without any load, so it shouldn’t be PSU, the behavior points to RAM but I already replaced it, so I’m really puzzled.
Attempted:
Current PC specs:
Motherboard: Intel B660
CPU: Intel Core i9-13900KF
GPU: Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070 Ti
RAM: Kingston Fury Renegade 128GB 3600 DDR4 CL16 DIMM (4 x 32GB)
PSU: Deepcool PM850D 80 PLUS GOLD 850 W
Storage:
ADATA SU650
ST200DM008-2UB102
WD_Black SN770 2TB
No software or hardware changes before BSODs started happening. These BSODs are increasing in frequency, getting them more and more over time. Sometiems they even happen during Windows boot-up, before it even gets to the login screen. Please let me know if I forgot some crucial info.
Any suggestions?
