hello, guys...
i need to build a gaming pc for my budget
you can select the parts from these stores : Maximum Hardware, CompuFast, Up To Date Computer and Baraka Computer
i need all parts excepting the monitor and accessories like the mouse and keyboard.

my only usage is 'gaming'
i no wanna overclock the cpu so i don't care to buy a 'K' version.. a normal version will be fine with me
i need a board has 4 RAM slots to install 32 gb at the next 2 years
and no problem if it supports 2 GPUs

- i wish you take a look to my selected parts then you can give me your advice if there is something wrong....

Intel Core I5-4690 Haswell 3.5GHz
Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo
Gigabyte GA-Z97X-SLI
Corsair Vengeance Pro 16GB (2 X 8GB) DDR3 1600
GALAX GeForce GTX 980 HOF
Western Digital (WD) Caviar BLUE WD10EZEX 1TB
Corsair VS Series VS650M 650w
Cooler Master CM 690 III Mid Tower

i'm apologize for my weak language
thanks

all the parts you chose are fine, but you should chose a higher quality power supply. I think it will be a long time before games will need anywhere near 32gb. 16gb is already double what is considered optimal for gaming right now. There is no reason to get a Z eries motherboard if your not overclocking, so you should reduce some cost of the motherboard, and put that money into a better psu.

chose a psu from at least tier 3 or better. For a high end rig, or something you plan to keep for 5+ years i personally wouldn't go below tier 2.

ammm....
what about these parts?
Asus H97M-E instead of the GA-Z97X-SLI and get Corsair CSM 750W 80+ Gold ?

11500 Egyptian pound is about equal to USD1500.
This is still plenty guys!
He can go for a really powerful rig.
Something like E3-1231V3/i5 4690k+H97/Z97+16GB RAM+500GB SSD+3TB HDD+650W PSU and a GTX970 as minimum can still fit...more or less like the rig, which I am using today.

So,
Do you plan to OC, SLI? Do you need the OS? Any other parts like monitor, keyboard, etc. or do you need only the PC?

I saw that you do not want to OC,
Or...How about this?
E3-1231V3 +CM Hyper 212 Evo + ASUS H97 pro + Crucial 16GB DDR3 1600 CL8 + 250GB Samsung EVO 850 + XFX XXX 650W pro + 1TB HGST 7200 rpm HDD + Galax GTX970 EXOC + CM 690 III
(no need to go GTX980, GTX970 is only 15% weaker but costs a lot less)

the prices is different in my country, i can't buy a SSD, my budget doesn't allow
it's very expensive for pounds
- no, i do not plan to OC
- i need a GTX 980 to play crysis 3.. i might get less than 30 fps as a minimum fraps with gtx 970
crysis3_1920_1080.gif

you will find the minimum fps on crysis 3 is highly reliant on cpu. You can just turn down details or AA to get fps up on C3, many of the details when turned down dont have any visible effect on the game, unless your stopping still to look at how pretty it is...

Come on dude, 250GB Samsung 850 EVO is only 1200LE on Baraka. It is not that much. SSD is not a must but you will never want to build any PC without it anymore, once you tasted an SSD.

On 1080p, GTX980 is only 15% faster, if you see 43fps on GTX970 just add 15% more and you have the result for GTX980, it is also shown in the picture you posted.
I see no benefit on paying more to get GTX980 over GTX970 on 1080p. It is only waste of money.
Beside, Crysis 3 is quite CPU dependent, you might want really to consider getting E3-1231V3 instead of non-K i5.

(comment and prices based on places i've searched like amazon and local stores. I'm from Portugal)

i would still go with a "K" processor. A "K" processor is the same price as a "non-K", H97 board is same price as Z97.

BUT!!!
"K" processors come with a higher base clock, even if you don't want to mess with them (which is a lot of fun I guarantee), and have much more potential than "non-K". And since they are "K", I would suspect they are given more attention at fabrication, since they will be much more stressed than "non-K".

GPU:
I see the 970 at ~300$, while the 980 is ~500$. However, the 980 has only ~15% more performance.

Now, if you google "970 SLI VS 980", you are up for a HUGE surprise to blow your mind..... almost double the performance!!.
So, for ~600$, you would have a improvement in performance of ~80%!!!

CONCLUSION:
Get a Z97 board, a 4690K and a Gigabyte 970 G1 (best 970 on the market). If you want to get better performance on the coming years, just buy another 970.

This way, you have HUGE room for improvement if you so desire, and manage to save money, and do a good purchase for now.

and regarding the GPU, check this out:

Edit: Don't forget to get a 750W PSU, in order to do the SLI in the future, if you want.

same price, best performance, more room for improvement, more potential, bigger community to help you when sh*t hits the fan, more info online on almost every forum out there (let's be honest, for the price, those chips must sell something like 80% K version VS 20% non-K version)

and like i said, he does not need to do the overclock. but the option is there for him, free of charge since its the same price (both CPU and board)

Edit: anyway, if he does not want the "K" version, just get the normal 4690, and choose a H97 board. Easy as that ^^

i5 4690k is not the only way to improve his build without really blowing the budget high, if he does not want to OC.

Getting the -k processor but not-OCed is waste of money. The extra base clock (stock freq) does not bring much difference to non-K.
If you do not OC, either bring the processor down to i5 4460 or go to E3-1231V3. Along with it, you can also go for cheaper H97 or B85 mobo to cut the price down.

Not everyone plans to OC, it depends on plans, needs and preferences.
Try to keep the topic and answer accordingly to what the poster try to achieve, not forcing on something.

well sir, you do have a point there. I would change the mobo and CPU of the previous build I posted, for the ones @guanyu210379 is referring to (although i did never agree with Xeons on personal builds, specially for gaming).

CPU: http://www.egprices.com/en/product/intel-core-i5-4460-haswell-3-2ghz-lga-1150-desktop-processor-el-madina
Mobo: http://www.egprices.com/en/product/msi-h97-pc-mate-socket-1150-motherboard-delta-computer-alex

so basically, ~800 LE he can save :) good going guanyu. hats off

I leave the decision to you. I would say Gigabyte, but like i stated before, it is only personal preference, and thus, biased opinion (something I am against).

So, I'll have to say that it is for you to decide, and no one else :)

212 EVO is always a safe bet, and if I recall correctly, i remember seeing reviews and comparisons where they managed to achieve around the same cooling.

I say 212 evo
