I was wondering how good this would be for a budget computer build.

Solution
Yes it is perfectly for your budget build..processor is not so good but no problem you also upgrade i3/i5or i7 for future this PC is can handle all current games and upcoming games.so,if you able to buy i5 4670k then I suggest you go for these. I5 4670k it is a oc version it can oc well!!:bounce:.no tension your PC is well for current generation!!!:wahoo:
It looks reasonable on a budget. You can omit the cheap cooler though; the G3258 comes with one of Intel's better ones, with the copper slug in it, which suffices even for overclocking. You might put the savings into a slightly better PSU (although yours isn't "bad" for such an undemanding build), or for a better wireless card (especially if you plan to game with a wireless connection). I know you won't be buying from Newegg, but this link is only for reference; I like http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16833704162&cm_re=tl-wdn3800-_-33-704-162-_-Product myself.

True, but note the final comment: "This may actually be the best ~$30 power supply sold currently," along with an earlier remark that it was better than the failure on a 100V test suggested. No, it isn't a great unit by any stretch, but in a system that may draw 100W under heavy load, it will suffice.

Solution
His motherboard should be able to OC the Pentium, but not the unlocked i5.
If you plan to upgrade your CPU in the future, it would be best to get the better motherboard now, otherwise you'll need to get a new Windows license with a new board.
