So I am looking to build a moderate level gaming PC! I have some ideas already but I am really just looking for some feedback to go off of because this is my first build. I will take any ideas into consideration, but like i said, id like to keep it cheap because I only work part-time and I have other expenses to take care of.
SO lets start with my CURRENT computer specs (Which suck...Trust me, i know..)
Mobo-Only thing im not exactly sure on but its pretty crappy. I know its branded as a Foxconn and the socket is 775.
GPU- NVIDIA GeForce 8600 GT
CPU- Intel Core 2 Duo E6550
Ram-4GB of DDR2
PSU- Bluestar 650W ATX Sata fan silver edition (This power supply sucks, cheap as hell. This is a MUST replace).

I would like to upgrade to a more modern MOBO so that i can run DDr3 RAM, so please keep that in mind.

Now il tell you what i currently have already bought and what i am looking for in my computer
I have already purchased a Radeon R7 260X graphics card.
I am looking to be able to play most-all modern games. I would like to be able to play them at high, but obviously with this graphics card, a year from now that just wont be happening.
I know it sounds kinda silly, but I really am trying to go for a BLUE trend with my case LED's and everything, so keep that in mind please when offering me suggestions! I have already purchased a gaming mouse that glows blue.

Like i said, any sugestions you guys have would be great. Since iv already bought the graphics card i would rather not to spend more than I have to, so things that I will get my most bang for my buck is really appreciated.
LAST BUT NOT LEAST- If possible I would like the option to possible overclock at some point, so if we can somehow figure it out where i can still spend as little money as possible and still have parts that allow me to overclock, that would be FANTASTIC.

Thats the exact CPU i was looking at actually, and that MOBO would defenitly do that trick (For that price it would be hard to beat). I know I should eventaully go with 8g of RAM but im thinking I might go with 4G for now and then upgrade to 8GB maybe a little in the future. Also would i maybe be able to get off with a power supply that is bronze certified at 600W? Id like to take the price down as low as possible.

As he wants to overclock I'd rather get the UD3P than the D3P mobo.

Alternatively, the Asus M5a97 is another good budget board

for power supplies, im looking at the gold one you told me about, as well as this one GS700 700W ATX12V v2.3 SLI CrossFire 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply New 4th Gen CPU Certified Haswell Ready

Get a power supply from tiers 1, 2a or 2b of http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-1804779/power-supply-unit-tier-list.html

The mobo I recommended will overclock. But there are other better mobos that will overclock better. And cost more.

The M5A97 $100 - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131873

or better still

ASRock 990fx Fal1ty $130 - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157479

or better again

Asus Sabertooth $185 - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131877
