Hey guys,
I've promised my cousine to help him make a decent gaming PC for around 600-650 dollars.
1st option is this :
Intel Core i5-4460
Motherboard: MSI Z97 PC MATE
Memory: Corsair Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB)
Storage: Seagate Barracuda 1TB
Video Card: EVGA GeForce GTX 950 2GB
Case: Corsair 200R ATX Mid Tower Case
Power Supply: Corsair CX 600W

This build is around 650 dollars

2nd option is cheaper

CPU: AMD FX4300
GPU: GTX950 Asus
Mobo: ASUS M5A97 R2.0
Harddisk: Seagate Barracuda 1 TB
Memory: Kingston Fury 2x4 GB
Case: Random shit
PSU: Coolermaster 500W

This build is only 510 dollars.

Which do you recommend price/performance wise. His proplerly only going to play CS:GO, LOL and such.

NOTE: 2nd build is a prebuilded PC, 1st is from Pcpartpicker.

Any changes or suggestions will be appreciated!

To be honest the pre-built is better in this case since the only great thing about the custom one is the much better cpu, though it seems your cousin doesn't do anything cpu intensive so the pre-built will do everything you need for cheaper.

CPU: Intel Core i5-4460 3.2GHz Quad-Core Processor ($172.89 @ OutletPC)
Motherboard: MSI H81M-P33 Micro ATX LGA1150 Motherboard ($42.89 @ OutletPC)
Memory: Corsair Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory ($38.99 @ Amazon)
Video Card: Zotac GTX 970 ($289.00 @ Amazon)
Power Supply: EVGA SuperNOVA NEX 750W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply ($49.99 @ Newegg)
Total : $593,76

With a cheap HDD and a cheap case, you´re around your budget prise, but I highly recommend SSD instead of HDD and a cheap case. May be a couple 100 more bucks, but well well worth it

GTX 950 2GB vs GTX 970 4GB says it all.

The below build is perfect for what your cousin wants to do, he seems to be mainly a MOBA/mid end gamer which means the below build will work fantastically for him, if you want me to explain any parts and why I picked them let me know.

THIS PART BEATS ALL OF THE i5s USE IT IN YOUR BUILD --> intel core i5 4590

ITS BETTER THAN ALL THE OTHER i5s AND IS AT A PRETTY GOOD PRICE

I TESTED IT AT CPUBOSS ITs BETTER THAN intel core i5 4460

Do not use CPUboss as a reference for CPU's buddie its ok to get a general reference but its not reliable :)
