I'm looking to finally make the plunge into building my own system and was looking for some help. I started having some issues with my current PC, kicked the crap out of it, now it looks like I forced my hand to finally upgrade to an actual PC. Is there anything in my current PC that I could salvage to save some cost for a new build?
Current System:
Dell Optiplex 380 (small form factor)
https://www.dell.com/us/business/p/optiplex-380/pd
Windows 7 Pro, 32 bit
Pentium Dual core E5800 @ 3.2 ghz
4GB DDR3 ram
ATI Radeon HD 5570 (1024MBytes)
235W PSU
I'm looking for something that can play CS:GO on high settings, or at least some settings that'll get me over a steady 150+ fps. I currently play on absolute bare minimum settings and eek out around 40fps. I might look to play some MMOs (wildstar, gw2), I've just never had a system capable of playing those games on enjoyable/playable settings.
I'm looking at about ~$500 budget, but if I can pull anything out of my current to cut some costs, I'm all for it. That budget is also flexible if anyone thinks an extra $100/$150 will make a big difference. I have all the peripherals and don't need an OS. Thanks in advance!
