"SMPS" is a pretty old term used by Indian Shopkeepers. (fools)

I'd recommend an i3 2100 with a H61 motherboard. Gigabyte, Asus and ASRock boards are all nice.

You better get a HD 5670 1GB DDR5 version, costs about 4.5K.

I don't really like CoolerMaster's Extreme Power Plus and GX series. I'd recommend a Corsair CX430 V2. (Ask the dealer about the "V2")

Get a Samsung Spinpoint F3 Hard Drive. Western Digital ones are costlier and slower.

Don't take 2GB RAM. I thought thats enough and took one 2GB stick and now I'm really unhappy with it. I recommend 2x2GB in Dual Channel mode.

at 1024x768, you're gonna rock the games with the above setup.
there are some weakness with your choice of components

2gb of RAM will limt the performance of your PC - what OS are you planning on using ?

Nvidia 8400GS and the ATI 5450 are not very good for gaming and wont run the latest games very well.

Nvidia replaced the 8*** series with the 9*** series, and then again with the 2** series, 4** series and are currently on the 5** series witgh the 6** series coming soon.

If you could take a look at this link and fill out the template that would be great: http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/261222-13-build-advice

What you have looks okay, but there's room for improvement I'm sure. I certainly wouldn't recommend anything under 4GB RAM either. If gaming is what your looking at I have a feeling an i3 with a P67/Z68 motherboard will be the way to go along with the best GPU I can possibly squeeze into your budget.

if your need is gaming ..you should atleast go for hd 5770 gpu and if the budget permits higher,a good rated psu rather than a generic one.if on very low budget an amd quad core would suffice, and 4gb of ram.

IMHO if you are gaming at 1024x768, you want a new monitor.

As before, what is your budget? A *BASIC* system, with monitor, keyboard, mouse, and Win 7 *can* be had for under $400, but the CPU will be weak for gaming (a Celeron/Pentium G dual core, or Athlon II X2, Or an A4-3400), but the more money, the more we can throw in there.

Ok i am taking ati 6780 .will this card support all current games? What avout pc should i go for quad core or dual core .i have cooler master 600w smps i am taking a 4 gb of ram too please help me about cpu
thanks
