Hi everyone,
im pretty new to building computers as this one is going to be my first. My budget is about $500 so i did a bit of research and ended up going with this.
so i was just looking to get some input from y'all like what's good and bad, and also if you know of a better deal for similar parts.
here it is..

*AMD Phenom II X2 550 Black Edition Callisto 3.1GHz 2 x 512KB L2 Cache 6MB L3 Cache Socket AM3 80W Dual-Core Processor

*EVGA 113-M2-E113 AM2+/AM2 NVIDIA nForce 730a HDMI ATX AMD Motherboard

*Western Digital Caviar SE WD5000AAJS 500GB 7200 RPM 8MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Hard Drive
http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Produc...pk=Western Digital Caviar SE WD5000AAJS 500GB
*hec X-Power Pro 600 600W Continuous @ 40°C ATX12V V2.2 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready Power Supply
http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817339025&Tpk=hec X-Power Pro 600 600W
*Tagan CS-A+Curbic Black Steel / Plastic ATX Mid Tower Computer Case
http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811294009&Tpk=agan CS-A+Curbic

in total im looking at about $460 CAD for all of that but i have an EVGA GeForce 8800 GTS 320MB already so it knocks a fair bit off the price of the machine.

so what does Tom's Hardware think?

PIJ : as much as i would freakin love to. i don't have the cash to drop on that beast.

geofelt : the PSU didn't seem too bad from the customer reviews but i'll look into the Corsair units. I do have 2 gb of ram laying around so maybe i'll nix the OCZ ram, get a better PSU and worry about more ram later
