Hey what do you guys think about this setup for a gaming PC? I mostly play LoL and I'm sure this will easily play that at 80+ fps on max graphics, but I also want to try some sandbox, MMO, and maybe some RTS games (DayZ, Total War games, GW2. Will this be able to run games like that on max graphics? Should I upgrade to the quad-core Haswell i5? Is everything I chose cost effective? Also, I already have a copy of Windows 8 so don't worry about that.

Normally you go AMD when you are on a low budget. The 7770 Is way better than the GTX 650.

The FX 6300 its a 6 core cpu, this will help you alot in Heavy Cpu Games like most MMO and RTS, Intel I3 its faster in Single Core Programs but not that much. You still get better Framerates with a 6 core than a 2 core cpu. And to even see a bottleneck you will need to pair this cpus with a 500 usd Video Card.
