Hey guys I'm building a budget PC for my friend and I wanted to run the setup by you guys and see what you think

ASRock 970 Extreme3 R2 Motherboard

AMD FX-4300 4 Core Processor

Patriot PC3-12800 2x2GB DDR3 PVV34G1600LLKB

Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit with SP1 OEM

CoolerMaster Extreme 2 525W

Gigabyte Radeon HD7850 1GB OC

LG GH24NS95 24x SATA DVD-RW Drive OEM

Thermaltake Black Commander MS-III Mid Tower Case

The Radeon 7850 1 gig is about the same price as the nvidia card and generally performs better

I'd use windows 8 . Better licenseand quite a few improvements .

The processor is good , but for $20 more the FX 6300 is better

you wont lose any gaming performance if you cut the RAM to a 2 x 2 gig kit

and you can use the pcpartpicker.com website to find the lowest prices

you could save a few bucks and get a smaller hdd..320-500 gb.
